Artwork Requirements

Our Macintosh-based art department asks that the artwork they receive adhere to the following guidelines:

Our primary vector software is Adobe Illustrator CC. We will accept the following vector file formats:
Adobe Illustrator CC or earlier - .ai, .eps, .pdf
Macromedia Freehand 11 or earlier - .eps
CorelDraw 12 or earlier – export as .ai, .pdf
Convert all text to curves or outlines. This eliminates the need for you to send fonts.
Choose Pantone Matching System (PMS) colors for your vector artwork.
If any raster images are placed in your vector artwork, send the original raster image separately for reference.

Our primary raster software is Adobe Photoshop CC. We will accept the following raster file formats:
Adobe Photoshop CC or earlier - .psd, .tif, .eps
Corel Photopaint - .psd, .tif, .eps
Scanned photos - .psd, .tif
Digital photos - .psd, .tif
Resolution for these file formats should be at least 150 dpi & preferably 300 dpi.
Only high resolution .jpgs will be accepted. Any .jpg below 150 dpi cannot produce high quality artwork.
When sending Photoshop files, include all layers & channels. Do not flatten.
If your raster artwork uses spot colors, list the PMS colors required.

Color comps (proofs) will be sent to you as our way of assuring you that we have interpreted your artwork to your specifications. These comps will be sent to you online or you can obtain a hard copy from our office. We do not start on your project till you have approved the color comps. The faster the approval, the faster we get started.
